HMS BULWARK 1/5 + Maritime Combat Power + HELICOPTERS + October 2011
www.youtube.com The last phase of training for the new flagship HMS Bulwark has been completed, ending six months of gruelling training. Having undergone a £30 million refit, she took part in an exercise on the shores of Hampshire with a Maritime Combat Power invasion of Browndown Camp near Gosport. It was a key part of her Operational Sea Training. HMS Bulwark has the ability to deliver troops and kit from the sea directly to the shore. The last six months has seen her put to the test through scenarios including fire, flood, air, sea and submarine attack, as well as disaster relief. HMS Bulwark is an Albion-class landing platform dock, the UK's newest class of amphibious assault warship and built in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. For numerous reasons, delays caused the delivery date to be put back, with the ship entering service in December 2004 Together with Albion, Ocean, and other amphibious ships, she provides a much-improved and potent amphibious capability for the Royal Navy. In October 2011 she became the Flagship of the Royal Navy.[2] The 64 metre flight deck is able to take two Sea King HC4 medium-lift helicopters and stow a third. The deck can also support two Chinook heavy-lift helicopters, one down the side of the flight deck and one at the rear of the flight deck. Though the Albion design does not have a hangar, the ship has sufficient equipment to support helicopter operations. The ship also supports a permanently embarked Marine landing craft unit, 4 Assault ...

US Navy's LCAC 91 achieves Navy's fastest maritime surface craft speed on algal fuel blend
NAVSEA Press Release LCAC 91 achieves Navy's fastest maritime surface craft speed on algal fuel blend PANAMA CITY, Fla. - The US Navy successfully concluded its final alternative fuel demonstration for the year today with the Dec. 7-9 operational tests of the 50/50 algae-derived, hydro-processed algal oil and petroleum F-76 blend in a Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) amphibious transport vehicle at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City. The tests also marked the fastest speed achieved to date by a US Navy surface craft using alternative fuel blends, as LCAC 91 reached speeds the crafts maximum speed of 50 knots, Dec. 7. The fastest speed demonstrated on the 50/50 algal blend in previous tests was 44.5 knots by the Riverine Command Boat (experimental) (RCB-X) in October 2010 at Naval Base Norfolk, Va. "Our Navy is working to be resilient to any potential energy future. Pursuing sustainable resources, such as alternative fuels that are drop-in replacements, assures our performance and mobility while protecting us from the volatility of the fossil fuel market. This demonstration is another Wright Brothers-moment for the Navy. We have shown that we can achieve more than 50 knots on the water and Mach 1.7 in the air - all on biofuel blends," said Rear Adm. Philip Cullom, director, Chief of Naval Operations Energy and Environmental Readiness Division. NEW BRITISH NAVY - ROYAL BRITAIN'S MARITIME ARMED FORCE
NEW BRITISH NAVY - ROYAL BRITAIN'S MARITIME ARMED FORCE
The Royal Navy (RN) is the naval warfare service branch of the British Armed Forces. Tracing its origins to the 16th century, it is the oldest service branch and is known as the Senior Service. From the end of the 17th century until well into the 20th century it was the most powerful navy in the world,[1] playing a key part in establishing the British Empire as the dominant world power. It remains a prominent blue-water navy and its ability to project power globally is considered second only to the United States Navy. Following victory in the First World War the Royal Navy was significantly reduced in size, although at the onset of the Second World War it was still the largest in the world. By the end of the Second World War the US Navy had emerged as the world's largest. During the course of the Cold War and the emergence of the Soviet submarine threat, the Royal Navy transformed into a primarily anti-submarine force, hunting for Soviet submarines, mostly active in the GIUK gap. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union its focus has returned to global expeditionary operations. The Royal Navy operates an array of technologically sophisticated ships including an aircraft carrier, a helicopter carrier, landing platform docks, ballistic missile submarines (which maintain the UK's nuclear deterrent), nuclear fleet submarines, guided missile destroyers, frigates, mine-countermeasure vessels and patrol vessels. As of February 2012, there were 79 commissioned ships in the ...

74 - "Continuous Measurement of Energy Efficiency" application by Odesa national maritime academy
74 - "Continuous Measurement of Energy Efficiency" application by Odesa national maritime academy
A refrigerating plant energy efficiency system has been presented. The task was to give the reliable and accurate data about the specific electrical power consumption per refrigeration output to the end user (operator). This data should be compared with the correspondent design data to make a reasonable decision to manage this refrigeration plant. The proposed system could be installed in the small scale commercial or domestic refrigerators for traces of their energy efficiency. This system is taking into account following values: the determined amount of produced artificial cold and the measured amount of consumed electrical energy; both values should be determined within the well-grounded and chosen by user (operator) time interval. The suggested approach allows to make evaluation for a given refrigeration plant from energy efficiency point of view.

Alternative Maritime Power Supply movie
Alternative Maritime Power Supply movie
Concern over air quality in harbours has led to growing pressure on port operators to reduce carbon and nitrogen dioxide emissions. Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) is a cold ironing system which allows ships to turn off their engines when in port, and plug into shore-side electricity supply, thus helping to bring cleaner air to ports and surrounding communities. Cavotec's Alternative Maritime Power systems can be fitted on ships, or, space permitting, on quaysides. We offer shore to ship power connections, as well as deck and barge-based units.

Office Of Naval Research - Maritime Laser Demonstration [480p]
MLD Test Moves Navy a Step Closer to Lasers for Ship Self-Defense. For Immediate Release: April 8, 2011. By Geoff S. Fein, Office of Naval Research. ARLINGTON, Va. — Marking a milestone for the Navy, the Office of Naval Research and its industry partner on April 6 successfully tested a solid-state, High-Energy Laser (HEL) from a surface ship, which disabled a small target vessel. The Navy and Northrop Grumman completed at-sea testing of the Maritime Laser Demonstrator (MLD), which validated the potential to provide advanced self-defense for surface ships and personnel by keeping small boat threats at a safe distance. "The success of this high-energy laser test is a credit to the collaboration, cooperation and teaming of naval labs at Dahlgren, China Lake, Port Hueneme and Point Mugu, Calif.," said Chief of Naval Research Rear Adm. Nevin Carr. "ONR coordinated each of their unique capabilities into one cohesive effort." The latest test occurred near San Nicholas Island, off the coast of Central California in the Pacific Ocean test range. The laser was mounted onto the deck of the Navy's self-defense test ship, former USS Paul Foster (DD 964). Carr also recognized the Office of the Secretary of Defense's High Energy Joint Technology Office and the Army's Joint High Powered Solid State Laser (JHPSSL) program for their work. MLD leverages the Army's JHPSSL effort. "This is the first time a HEL, at these power levels, has been put on a Navy ship, powered from that ship and ...

Awesome STUFF! While I don't agree with every single thing Jordan says, mostly in regards to the bible or Christ, everything else is spot on. But even what he does say about the bible and Christ IS true from a larger point of view, but that is only because what the world thinks is real Christianity is NOT, it's a Pagan counterfeit. So what he says about the western religions is true because he's criticizing the western counterfeit Paganized Satanic deception, not the real thing. Full video at: www.newrealities.com -Alan Steinfeld talks to Jordan Maxwell, scholar and symbolist, about the underlying power of symbols and the way religions and governments manipulate people with them.
